I purchased this car from a retired gentleman that lived in miami florida, and in venezuela...the car was always garaged at his home in miami, when he was out of the country. I have a copy of his florida title, and purchased the car with 29, 345 documented miles..Between 28, and the 30, 000 miles, over 10,000 was spent in mechanical restoration on this car, which is all meticulously categorized and documented, with every bit of paperwork...Some highlights of which are as follows: all new fuel pumps, filters, sending units, and gasoline tank, with injectors serviced and cleaned..Complete compression test, cylinder head gaskets, engine valve head block, valve cover gaskets..alternator, battery, 4 new tires, brake pads and rotors, ignition coil, thermostat...etc, etc,...way too uch to list...I can fax mechanical summary and receipts to any serious buyer...all work was done at quality repair shops, within the last 2,000 miles, and last 2 years...ALL THE MONEY HAS BEEN SPENT ALREADY....on this great weekend cruiser...Mechanically, what I know still needs to be done, which is super minor is....the turn signals stopped working, and the switch for the auxiliary radiator fan needs to be adjusted or replaced....The car drives, and shifts beautiful...no shake in the wheel, brakes, tires, sunroof, power windows, all function as they should...
Cosmetically, when you see the details of this car in person...its evident that the mileage is indeed accurate...this car has always been garaged, and never driven in the salt or winter....it is 99 percent rust free, with a couple tiny hairline rust marks...The interior of the car is what makes it truly unique, and a survivor...all original seats, dash, carpets, console, etc, are in excellent, untouched condition, showing almost no wear anywhere, including the drivers seat...People spend a fortune on restoring interiors, and this one is near perfect, and needs nothing....The original paint is in good condition, with the most scratches on the passenger side door, from the previous owner...and a few other various scratches and dings, but nice for a daily driver...if i were to keep the car, I would spend a couple grand on a decent paintjob, as the interior and mechanical is already done..or it certain ly still looks nice as a daily driver, and this car has never been wrecked or damaged.....If you are looking for a nice classic bmw to drive, but dont want to get killed on repairs, this one is for you...the receipts for 10,000 plus, and the mileage at only 30,602, make this car stand apart...i have 4 other cars, and simply am making some space....
