You are viewing my 1969 Buick Electra 225 Convertible. This car has just had a rebuilt engine and transmission installed, (older rebuild). It has new paint, new top, and a new interior. It runs and drives great, even has cold factory A/C. The car came from out west, so was a minimal rust car. I would consider this car to be a good 10 footer, looks great from 10 feet. The repaint is fair, not anywhere near show quality. The chrome in mostly original and fair. Stainless looks okay. The underside of the car is decent, definitely not a rust bucket. There were some weak areas in the typical spots. The power top works, but the motor should be rebuilt, it is slow going up and needs some help. The engine runs smooth, it's quiet, the transmission shifts great, the brakes stop straight and correct. It has power steering and power brakes. The owner had put over $12,000. in restoring this car. Overall condition I would day is fair. This will never be a show car or win any prizes, but it's a great boulevard cruiser. I am selling the car at no reserve. | CONDITIONS OF SALE
PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING
1) We ask that all successful bidders contact the dealership at 239-940-9200 within 24 hours of auction end to begin the process of completing the sale. Please do not bid on our cars if you are not going to follow-through. We promise to be fair to you, please do the same for me. Remember, we do not offer financing so you will need to have your own funds available by the end of the auction. Payment must be made by cash, cashiers check, or money order only. We do not accept bank drafts. A $1,000 non-refundable deposit must be received within 3 business days following the close of auction and the balance paid within 10 days.
2) All vehicles are sold "AS IS" with no warranty expressed or implied. No allowance or set aside will be made on account of any incorrectness, imperfection, defect or damage. Any descriptions or representations are for identification purposes only and are not to be construed as a warranty of any type. It is the responsibility of the buyer to have thoroughly inspected the vehicle, and to have satisfied him/her-self as to the condition and value and to bid based upon that judgment solely. The seller shall and will make every reasonable effort to disclose any know defects associated with this vehicle at the buyers request prior to the close of the sale. Seller assumes no responsibility for any repairs regardless of any oral statements about the vehicle. The "free limited warranty" offered, if any, is offered through eBay and/or its associates, not seller. Buyer should contact eBay for more information on this warranty. Seller is selling vehicle "AS IS".
3) Remember these are used vehicles and will show signs as such. There may or may not be additional maintenance required as would be expected on used vehicles. You are not bidding on brand new cars, so there may be parts of the vehicle that may not be brand new. While that may be obvious to most people, we just want it to be perfectly clear. We will do our best to describe all the obvious important things so you’ll have a good idea of what you are buying. Items such as owners manuals, keyless entry fobs, and compact disc magazines, may or may not be included. Please see item description for additional information.
4) Customer is responsible to obtain their own insurance on any vehicle purchased. Insurance is provided by the transport company for all vehicles during shipping, but our insurance ceases to cover anything once it is sold. The word "sold" means, when funds are received in full, not at the time the vehicle is delivered.
5) All vehicles 10 or more years old are exempt from mileage guarantees unless specifically mentioned. If I have documentation to on the exact mileage of an older vehicles it will be mentioned in the advertisement.
6) Florida residents must add 6% sales tax. According to Florida law, since we are a dealer, if an out of state purchaser takes delivery of a vehicle in the State of Florida we are obligated to collect sales tax at a rate equal to the purchaser’s state sales tax, not to exceed 6%. The purchaser will be given a receipt proving tax was paid. This receipt can be presented at the buyers state tag office for sales tax credit. Any additional fees or taxes will be the responsibility of the purchaser. This does not apply to vehicles shipped out of state, only ones picked up in Florida. 7) Buyer assumes cost of shipping. We do have shipping contacts that we can refer you to if you do not have one in mind. If you are going to fly in to pick up your vehicle, we can assist you in arranging transportation from Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW). These arrangements must be made in advance and are by appointment only.
8 All vehicles, whether shipped out of state, or picked up in person, must be picked up at our location in Fort Myers.
9) Most cars we sell on eBay are one owner, new car trade ins. From time to time there are payoffs that are made at banks on car loans, and titles may be in transit. This could result in a slight delay in the titles coming to me, although this is a very rare occurrence. 99% of the time I have titles in hand.
10) Any buyer with negative feedback will be ignored and their bid cancelled unless we are contacted directly to authorize the bid. Any buyer with zero feedback also needs to contact us prior to bidding. We will give negative feedback on any final bidder that refuses to honor his/her obligation. Remember bidding is a legally binding contract should you be the high bidder.
11) Because of our local customers and any unforeseen circumstances we reserve the right to end the auction early. This will be rare because we want to give everyone a fair chance. So don’t be afraid to bid.
12) By the purchase of this vehicle the buyer obligates him/her-self to agree with all the guidelines and statements made above including: "as is" no warranty statements, sales tax and insurance regulations.
13) There is a $99 documentation fee on every sale regardless of state of residence.
