PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING! You are viewing a very nice Lexus ES 300. The car is in great shape but needs some TLC. It is a two tone white on top w/gold on bottom. Interior is tan leather in almost new condition. It runs out great and drives perfect, but it idles with a miss. The car does not hesitate, knock or tap, and the miss goes away as you give it gas. It is loaded with all the goodies and the climate control works excellent...ice cold a/c and hot heat(not that we need it now). Options are cd changer, sunroof, and everything else you would expect in a Lexus. All electricals work, and the tires are nearly new. It is very quiet and responsive. The front bumper cover is torn but nothing that can't be repaired. The check engine light is on.
The car is by no means in bad shape but I just don't want any suprises. I have done my best to accurately describe everything that I noticed. The car was a trade in at a local new car dealership. The kbb value is over $8k, I am asking no where near that! Priced waaaay below book value...so bid to win! On Aug-07-08 at 20:10:45 PDT, seller added the following information:I had my mechanic check it today and the car is only in need of a tune up!!! It has 3 plugs that are misfiring, it needs an o2 sensor, and the valve cover gasket needs replacing. For all the parts to do the tune up and the gasket I came up with about $400. It runs and drives perfect...very responsive and handles well. I have noticed the right strut sounds like it is worn out---it makes a noise when you hit a bump. With everything you are looking at less than $1000 parts and labor! So all in all $4500 for the car + $1000 total repairs= $5500 for one of the most reliable cars on the market!

A certified mechanic checked it a little more in-depth and more good news came from it. At first on the parts we were looking at new wires at $80.00, new plugs at $6 ($36), new coils $79 ($474), new o2 sensor $169, and new valve cover gaskets at $17.99 for the set. totalling $776.99 for all the parts. After an in-depth check only 1 coil needs replacing and since it is misfiring that is causing it to run rich and making the o2 sensor kick out a code...so with the savings of 5 coils at $79 each and an o2 sensor at $169...that's a savings of $564!!!!! Now for $212.99 in parts it will be perfect! And best of all you have a list of the things you will need so the mechanics can't screw you on parts you really don't need (and believe me they will try). Just wanted to share this tid-bit of info..happy bidding!!!!
