This was my wife's car and has been sitting since she passed away in 2006. We're the the second owner, and know the history of the vehicle. Since we acquired it about 8 years ago very little additional mileage has been put on,just a couple thousand miles at most. The GM 400 transmission has been rebuilt and is in good shape; the exhaust system and brakes were replaced;the front end ball joints and tie rods have been replaced; it has a new headliner that's in mint condition; and it was repainted in mercedes gray. The front fenders were replaced with NOS fenders that were media blasted and undercoated with POR 15. The bottom edge of the fender has picked up some rust as this is where water gets trapped, but the rest of the front fenders are as new. The car starts easily and has a new battery. The engine is running a little rough and appears to need a tune up, probably from sitting too long, but it is easily drivable for short or medium distance, and with a tuneup as far as you like. It has always run well and there's no blue or white smoke or other issues. It has the original factory air which isn't working, and an auxiliary rear heater mounted in the trunk compartment. The brake lights and turn signals work, but the left side needs bulb replacement or repair. And the windows need track lubrication / repair. . The tires are in VGC, and the belts and hoses were checked not too long ago. The actual mileage is unknown. In the photos, I've tried to show all of the warts and problem areas. The floor pans need work on the driver's side and wheel well in the trunk. I think that this car is prime for restoration, or could simply be parted out for a project car and provide many parts in good condition. This is a car that needs significant body work and I'm listing it as such. This isn't a weekend bondo job. I am the owner and will include various repair receipts. The car has a clear title. It is being kept at a friend's car lot in Naperville,IL, and can be seen , picked up or shipped from there. The winning bidder must provide a $200 deposit to my paypal account or by money order/cashier's check within four days of auction end or I'll have to consider it as a no-pay.
