For sale is a 1987 Mercedes Benz 300SDL. The condition is fair, It is a great parts car or car for somebody to fix up and restore or use for a BIO DIESEL or a VEG OIL burning car. The engine starts right up and runs fine. The car has 293k miles on it. The motor smokes a little when first started but once it warms up or you drive it the smoke is gone, the turbo spools up good and provides good power. The radiator was replaced along with the thermostat, water pump, fuel filter glow plugs, and glow plug relay. Transmission shifts fine. The body of the car is ok, the front fender was replaced, it looks like it was in a fender bender. The fender is close to matching the paint of the car but it is a little darker. The hood is gray it needs to be painted to properly match the color of the car. The interior is in good shape, the dash and gauge panel are in great shape the gauges work fine. The heater fan works when it wants too and the selector panel doesn't seem to select the vents too well it mostly blows out of the defroster. The car drives decent, the brakes need pads BAD, the pads were just worn down to nothing i could feel them getting worse and worse i just didn't change them. The master cylinder and booster seem ok. Being that this was a mid-west car for most of its life, it does have some rust on the under carriage. The sway bar mount on the passenger side rusted away so it would probably need to be welded or fabricated to hook up the sway bar on the passenger side, it does clunk and make noise because of it.
