One midlife crisis, I mean one BMW K1200LT for sale.  It is just too big for me, I have dropped it 4 times in 5 months while standing still and need assistance in returning it to upright.  Mechanically sound but you will not impress your biker friends with the looks.  It was involved in an accident prior to my buying it and prior to the guy I bought it from also.  I believe it was front end and front fairing damage.  It does not have a salvage title, it has a regular title.  It is missing lower fairing parts, handle bar covers, side bumper parts, radio and speakers just never got around to replacing them, It really didn't bother me.  The speed controls on the handlebars are broken and I do not know if it still has these parts on the bike.  Previous owner said he disabled ABS because the light kept coming on.  Also don't know if ABS system is on the bike.  Headlight lower/raise knob is not connected as a part is missing from headlight assembly.  Fit and finish to front is not good (bent fairing frame I suspect).  I bought this because I thought I wanted a big BMW and I didn't pay alot for it because of missing parts.  I added Cee Bailey short windshield, windshield motor and assembly and some missing fairing parts.  The front is kinda blue sliver but the trunk and side bags are maroon.  Seat is ok except for black tape at the top. 

The good part.  Cranks and runs fine, smokes upon startup when left on side stand which is common on these bikes. 80 K on speedometer believed to be accurate.  Heated seats, heated grips, reverse, signals, lights, horn, windscreen all work fine. If I were inclined, I would trust this thing mechanically to get me anywhere in the US, maybe even Canada.  It is comfortable, have driven it to Atlanta (125 mi) a couple of times and around the mountains in NE Georgia.  Handles fine.

Gas guage works but I think it is off, never gets to full and I still have plenty of gas when it shows red.  Tires are OK but will need replacing soon. I have spare two up seat which replaces trunk and other parts which go with bike.

I tried to look up VIN history but it said there was no history on this VIN, It is the actual # on the bike, manufactured 3/99.
