Description

The Silver Wraith was the first post-war Rolls-Royce model and was made at the Crewe factory from 1946 to 1959. The first cars had a 322,6 cm wheelbase chassis, based on the one from the pre-war Wraith with coil sprung independent front suspension and semi elliptic rear with a live axle. The engine was also based on the Wraith but had a new cylinder head with overhead inlet valves and side exhaust valves and initially a capacity of 4257 cc. From 1951 this was increased to 4566 cc and in 1954 to 4887 cc on the long wheelbase models. The braking system was a hybrid hydromechanical system with hydraulic front brakes and mechanical rears using the mechanical servo from the pre-war cars.

This 1949 Silver Wraith (WFC34) has 157,180 miles and still running.  Last owner had this car in to many events and long trips and have never had a serious problem.  This vehicle is a Right Hand Drive.  Last owner had the transmission built.  The car has no rust.  Last owner had this vehicle for 14 years and sinche we bought it, it has been stored inside. 

The car needs a paint job.  The interior are in OK condition but might need minor restoration in some places.  The dashboard is in good condtion.  The carpets look good.

The remainder is due within 5 days of auction end. If no contact is made within 24 hours we reserve the right to re-list the vehicle, sell it to the next high bidder, or sell it otherwise. Most banks and credit unions do not finance vehicles older than 1995 or with more than 100K miles. Make sure if financing that your financial institution accepts the year and miles of this vehicle before bidding. Please arrange financing prior to bidding.

Buyer is responsible for pickup or shipping of this vehicle. If you wish to have it shipped using a service, we will gladly cooperate. You can locate shippers by doing a search for `auto shippers`.

If you are not sure about something, please ask! Do not assume anything not listed is included. We reserve the right to cancel bids for excessive negative feedback. We reserve the right to end the listing if the vehicle is no longer available for sale.
