PLEASE READ ENTIRE DESCRIPTION! UP FOR AUCTION AT NO RESERVE IS A 2 OWNER 1978 FORD BRONCO RANGER XLT 4X4. I AM LISTING THIS FOR MY FATHER WHO PURCHASED THIS BRONCO IN 1979 AND HAS DRIVEN IT UP TO THIS YEAR EVER SINCE. THE BRONCO HAS A 351 V8 I DONT IF ITS THE CLEVELAND OR WINSOR. IT IS THE ORIGINAL FACTORY MOTOR WITH A/C THAT WORKS. THE MOTOR WAS REBUILT YEARS AGO AND COULD USE A FRESHENING UP AGAIN BUT NONE THE LESS IT FIRES UP AND RUNS AND IT DOES SMOKE A LITTLE BUT NOT REAL BAD AFTER RUNNING. IT LEAKS A LITTLE OIL ALSO. THIS BRONCO HAS BEEN A WORK AND HUNTING VEHICLE FOR MY FATHER FOR YEARS BUT HE ALWAYS KEEP THE MAINTENANCE UP ON IT FOR THE MOST PART. ITS ALWAYS BEEN ADULT DRIVEN. THIS BRONCO HAS BEEN PAINTED ONCE SINCE NEW ABOUT 11 YEARS AGAO AND ITS RUSTING PRETTY BAD AGAIN IN THE DOOR JAMBS AND THE FENDERS AND TAILGATE. THE FRAME IS ROCK SOLID.THE PAINT IS FADED REAL BAD AND THE TOP HAS MOSS ON IT FROM SITTING IN THE ELEMENTS FOR 30 YEARS. THE TOP IS REMOVABLE AND DOES NOT LEAK. THE INTERIOR IS IN DECENT SHAPE EXCEPT FOR THE SEAT ARE BAD ESPECAILLY THE DRIVERS SIDE. THE CARPET IS FADED BUT GOOD. THE DASH ISNT BAD EITHER. EVERYTHING WORKS AS FAR AS I CAN TELL. THE AUTO TRANSMISSION SHIFTS FINE AND THE 4 WHEEL DRIVE WORKS TOO. THERE IS A DENT WHERE HE WAS BUMPED INTO IN THE RIGHT REAR QUARTER PANEL. I WOULD SAY YOU COULD DRIVE THIS HOME AND NOT HAVE A PROBLEM BUT IM NO MECHANIC AND HE IS ONLY DRIVING IT TO WORK ABOUT 5 MILES A DAY UP UNTIL RECENTLY WHEN HE GOT A NEWER BRONCO. THIS IS A RARE RANGER XLT EDITION AND WOULD BE AWESOME TO FIX UP BUT HIS HEALTH ISNT THE BEST AND EVEN THOUGH HE WANTS TO HANG ON TO THIS OLD GAL ITS TIME FOR SOMEONE ELSO TO FIX IT UP OR USE THE PARTS. HE HOPES SOMEONE WILL FIX IT UP BUT IT WILL TAKE SOME WORK. SO THAT BEING SAID I HAVE TRIED TO TELL EVERYTHING AND I WILL ANSWER QUESTIONS AS FAST AS I CAN SO ASK. I WOULD SAY BRING A TRAILER EVEN THOUGH YOU CAN HOP IN IT AND DRIVE DOWN THE ROAD. I DONT KNOW ABOUT LONG DISTANCE IT WOULD PROBABLY BE OK BUT I DONT WANT ANYBODY BROKE DOWN ON THE ROAD. ITS YOUR CALL. IT RUNS AND DRIVES FINE BUT ITS OLD AND TIRED. I DONT KNOW HOW ELSE TO SAY IT. REMEMBER ITS ORIGINAL, RARE, RUN AND DRIVES WITH A/C, RUSTED, SO BID WHAT YOU WANT TO PAY AT NO RESERVE THE WINNING BID WILL TAKE THIS BRONCO HOME. hthere is tremendous interest in this old bronco! please read the entire description and be sure on what you are bidding on. the signal lights need attention and the driver window wont come down. its everything you see and nothing more and will need some tlc. i dont want to scare anyone because it runs and drives ok but i also dont want someone bidding just to bid either and show up disappointed or not at all. ask me questions and be sure also! if you have no history or bad history i will remove your bid. remember this is no reserve and if you win you buy! if you think it was not represented correctly (but i assure you it has been )you can pay the listing fees and leave it with no bad feedback but the price you win is not negotiable when you arrive. thanks for all the attention and you must know something about this old bronco we dont. it is the ranger package that we were told is a rare option in these but you are the ones deciding what it is worth. thank you!!
